16.1 Candidates will be able to actively engage in professional learning networks to collaborate and share ideas and resources with colleagues.
I created a Pinterest page with a couple of my classmates in order to expand our professional learning network. On this page we contributed many PLN resources. This is a place to share ideas and resources with colleagues.
Twitter is a tool to use for PLNs. It allows me to connect with other teachers both in my school district and in other school districts. It also provides me with many great resources to use in my classroom and allows me to share these resources with others.
I created a website about what PLNs are and how you can get connected. I provided many resources for teachers to expand their own PLN. I also presented my personal PLN and how I connect with others.
I created a presentation to share with my colleagues on how we can use social media in the classroom. I discussed the ways you can use Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Blogs, Skype, and Twitter. These are all platforms to use in the classroom when used appropriately. They are great resources for collaboration and a place to share resources with colleagues.
16.2 Candidates will be able to determine and implement the best approaches to improving their technology integration efforts through a continual process of self-evaluation and reflection.
Using my personal reflections from my internship, it allowed me to self-evaluate myself and my intership’s progress. These reflections helped me decide what needed to change and what worked throughout the process. The whole internship was a continuous evaluation and self reflection. These reflections allowed me to improve my technology integration of OneNote with my colleagues.
