Implementing OneNote
My internship's main focus is to instruct teachers how to use OneNote. I want teachers to feel confident creating OneNote pages to use in their own classrooms. They can utilize resources to make their OneNote pages more student friendly and engaging. My internship is very teacher driven and it aims to help teachers work at their own pace and by their own design. Teachers will be able to receive feedback about their own pages and give feedback to others. In the end, they can self-reflect on the pros and cons of their process and what more they need to do in order to be successful.
Implementing OneNote in every classroom is the ultimate goal beyond my internship. I want there to be a big change within our school using technology. I believe that if every teacher used OneNote in their classrooms, it would create fluidity for both processes of teaching and learning. By making OneNote a school-wide initiative, the expected long-term outcome to have all students endure the same routine throughout the building would offer many benefits. This would offer clearer organization for both students and teachers, it would help to individualize instruction by providing a place to deliver content to students in many ways, and also help teachers address students with different learning styles and levels of learning more specifically. OneNote would allow students to personalize their learning experience and showcase their progress by using critical thinking and creativity. In total, the addition of OneNote school-wide would help students become well-educated critical thinkers and problem-solving members of society, while also providing teachers with the tools to get them there.
